Charlotte's 2nd Annual Ethiopian Cultural Festival: Coming soon!

Charlotte is filled with people from all walks of life, from every corner of the world. Ethiopia, with its ancient history and rich culture, was yet to be celebrated in the city — until Tesfa Ethiopia held the very first Ethiopian Cultural Festival at the Midwood International and Cultural Center in Plaza Midwood.

What we found out

Our very first Ethiopian Cultural Festival was filled with music, traditional food, and entertainment. As an organization, we were able to bring Ethiopia to the people of Charlotte, NC while raising funds for our mission.

What we learned: the people of Charlotte have a thirst for learning where their neighbors are from. We learned that no matter your background, there is a common humanity in all of us. The power of giving and the power to change a child’s life across the globe excited the residents of Charlotte.

This is why we will be bringing back the festival in 2020 with more music, more traditional food, and even more entertainment. Funds collected from this event will go directly to advancing children’s education across Ethiopia.
